Ski Hearts - ages 3- 5

This program is designed for children ages 3-5 years. All activities on the snow are geared to excite the preschool aged child.  Fun, progressive and within a safe environment, this is the right choice to introduce your child to the sport of skiing or to improve those who are already sliding. The interactive program follows Mount St Louis Moonstone's Skier Progression Program, based upon skill development appropriate to Mount St Louis Moonstone terrain and lifts. Photo for program pass taken in the main office, please allow enough time to have this done prior to the program date.

Sundance Raiders - ages 6-12
 
This exciting program is designed for children age 6-12 of any ability.  Our emphasis is to better the existing skiing skills through fun filled activities.  These supervised on snow activities will improve each individual following the Mount St Louis Moonstone Skier Progression Program.  It is an excellent opportunity for children to interact with others while improving their skiing skills, within an educational, fun and safe environment.

Ridge Racers - ages 7-16

This program is an in-house race program for children ages 7 to 16.  In-house means a non traveling race program.  The goal is to improve overall skiing competencies through technical improvement, faster pace skiing and introduction to a race environment through the use of gates and training gates.  Activities are generally performed on selected terrain.  The program combines the Alpine Canada Husky Snow Stars and the Mount St Louis Moonstone Skier Progression program.  Program is delivered by CSCF (Canadian Ski Coaches Federation) trained coaches. Program requirements:participants interested in this program must have  the physical capability to parallel ski 90 percent of the time on green and some blue slopes of Mount St Louis Moonstone.  This translates into the skier being able to parallel ski to a hockey stop, be comfortable in entry level bumps, side slip and quick stops-wedge turns at gates to parallel skis between gates and practices Skier Responsibiltiy Code.  Helmets and goggles mandatory.
 
Slope Racers - ages 7-16

This program is a carbon copy of the Ridge Racers, however, is geared towards the enthusiast who is eager to handle an "ALL DAY PROGRAM". Increased mileage will enable the participant to improve at a quicker pace with the qualities of the half-day program professionally blended into a full day of all mountain skiing and race training.
 
Board Chasers - ages 8-16
 
A Snowboard ride improvemnt program geared towards all levels of riders, from first timers, up to the intermediate rider.  The focus of the program is to introduce the interested new snowboarder, and for those who have snowboarded already, to improve upon riding progression and on honing riding skills.  Professional instructors are eager to challenge you through a safe, active and informative environment. Minimum of 6 participants required.
 
All Terrain Skier - ages 8-12
 
This is an active 8-week program, geared towards the young INTERMEDIATE to ADVANCED skier aged 8 to 12, who wants to experience it all.  This exciting, active, quick paced program will improve the "Total" skier in your child.  Skiers will be exposed to all types of terrain, bumps, parks, jumps, powder, ungroomed and more.  This is a program that truly has it all. Minimum of 6 participants required.

Want to be Free Ski/Board Rider - ages 8-16
 
This program is geared towards the young FREE SKIER and SNOWBOARDER who is looking to be introduced to Park features, an introduction to Snow Park.  This progressive 8-week program will initiate the participants to beginner Park features, emphasizing Park Etiquette, Safe approach, take off and landing.  This will bridge aspiration, ability and confidence to handle beginner features.  This program is a perfect stepping stone for entering our Righteous Riderz and Sweet Snowboard Rider Programs.Program requirements: Want to be Ski Free RiderParticipants must be able to ski parallel comfortably on green and blue trails of Mount St Louis Moonstone. Program requirements:  Want to be Snowboard Free RiderParticipants must be comfortable on green and blue trails of Mount St Louis Moonstone.Use of helmet is required for the program.  Minimum of 6 participants is required.

Righteous Riderz - ages 12-17
 
This program is geared towards skiers who are competent and comfortable in both the Outback and Junkyard Terrain Parks.  Highlights of the 8-day gatherings' will be video footage of riders, individual rider improvment in both parks, individual attention and opportunity to compete as a team in free ski events. Minimum of 6 participants required.

Sweet Snowboard Rider - ages 13-17
 
This cooperative program is designed for children ages 13-17, riding at an INTERMEDIATE to ADVANCED abilty.  Our program is geared to the Snowboarder who is competent and comfortable in both the Outback and Junkyard Terrain Parks.  Focus of the program is to improve present skills of tackling features while demonstrating respect and safe park etiquette.  Highlights of the program will be personal coaching, video of tricks and preparation for those interesed in competition.  Minimum of 6 participants required.

Adult Ski - ages 18 and up 
 
This program is designed for skiers of all abilities, ages 18 and up.  Improvement is based on the Mount St Louis Moonstone Skier Progression Program.  Adults will be given achievable goals and objectives to enhance their present skill level.  Enjoy this educational, social and informative program through the guidance of our enthusiastic professional staff.  Minimum of 6 participants required.


Adult Cruise Club - ages 18 and up
 
This program is designed for skiers of all abilities, ages 18 and up.  It is available mornings for 8 consecutive Mondays.  The program will follow the Mount St Louis Moonstone Skier Progression Program.  You will be given achievable goals and objectives to enhance the improvement of each individual.  Enjoy this educational, social and informative program through the guidance of our enthusiastic professional staff.
 
Tip of the Week - Members Only
 
For those members who ski everyday and would like only a few little tips to keep themselves satisfied each week.  This is a half-hour ski time with one of our professionals to start your day as soon as the lifts open.  Regardless of your ability, we will have something unique for you to work until the next week.  The first tip of the week will be Tuesday January 24, 2012 meeting at the Summit Six Express.

Assistant Pro: Ages 15 -17

 
The goal of this program is to groom our future ski / snowboard professionals.  During the 8-week program, aspiring professionals aged 15 and up will gain valuable hands on experience working along side staff professionals and assisting in the safety and development of our children's program.  In addition, participants will receive professional training indoors and on-snow in preparation for entry-level certification.  Hired candidates will receive professional staff benefits while in the program.  Assistant pros receive a Season pass, snow school uniform and comprehensive training program.  The program is geared for both Saturdays and Sundays.  We will be holding an Orientation on December 11 for all assistant pros before the January start date.  At this time, challenges with the schedule can be discussed.  We are flexible and given proper lead-time, can come up with a mutual schedule.
Hours - There is no minimum amount of hours one needs for this program.  It is setup so that assistant pros help us out with the teaching of our younger students and we will provide training to the assistant pros to prepare them for the certification course.  Assistant pros receive a Seasons pass, snow school uniform and comprehensive training program.  The above agenda does still allow for some free-time skiing.

Uniforms - The Resort views assistant pros as ambassadors of our Snow School…future Snow School professionals.  Wearing the uniform is a part of this.  We trust they are worn with pride and that their conduct is professional.

Orientation - We will be holding an orientation for all Assistant Pros on December 11, 2011 at 9:00am in the Kids Camp building.  Registration deadline for the Assistant Pro is December 1, 2010.
  
***PROGRAM PASS***For the following programs;Sundance Raiders, Ridge Racers, Board Chasers, All Terrain Skier, Righteous Riderz, Free Rider and Sweet Snowboard Riders.  Replacing a lost Program Pass or 1/2 Day Lift Pass the cost is is $25 + HST.  Program Pass provides a lift pass which is valid 8:30 am – 4:30 pm for the start date to the program and allows the pass holder to ski/board on the schedule program dates as well as the option of skiing/boarding 7 days a week from March 1 to season closing.

Terms and Conditions
 
1. Each participant must sign a Release of Liability (or by parent/guardian if the participant is under 19) on or before the program begins.

2. All programs are enrolled on first come, first service basis.  Programs may fill up prior to the registration deadline December 28, 2011.  Request to switch your program after January 1, 2012 will not be accepted.


3. To cancel a program we require written notice submitted by email, fax or mail to our Programs Administration by January 9, 2012, an administration fee of $50 is applied to all cancellations.  Refunds will not be given after a program has started.  Program participants who cannot continue will be allowed a credit.  No refunds or credits for lessons or lift tickets will be given to participants who elect to miss program lessons for any reason.

4. All Programs meet at the Mount St. Louis base.  Program classes are held in all weather conditions.

5. All programs must have a minimum of six people of the same ability for the program to run.

6. Inherent Risk - With skiing and snowboarding/blading with many factors affecting your demeanor of the slopes: snow conditions, weather, snow features and lifts to name a few.  Understanding your limitation and abilites within the elements ultimately affect your safety.  Awarness of physcial conditions is the key.
